CD: Cloth DIaper
PUL: Polyurethane Laminate or laminated fabric. Waterproof material.
AIO: All In One: (waterproof) PUL material with a layer of material (usually fleece or flannel) sewn on that has a soaker sewn into the lining and typically a pocket for stuffing additional absorbent materials into. Some have adjustable snap rise for extended use.
AI2: All In Two: (waterproof) PUL material with a layer of material (usually a fleece or velour) sewn together - no pocket - and a snap in soaker made of various absorbent materials in a variety of styles (petals, contours, snake-style, etc...)
Pocket Diapers: (waterproof) PUL material with a layer of fabric lining (fleece, cotton, jersey, etc...) sewn to it with an opening at the top of the backside used for stuffing with inserts, pre-folds or other diapering materials. These can be used as covers, swim diapers; your choice of material - inserts, prefold, etc.... - can lay in the diaper as well. With adjustable snaps, these can have extended use.
Diaper Covers: PUL material that creates a waterproof diaper with ant combination. Some have inner flaps made of the outer material that help keep diapers, inserts, etc... in place and keep wetness off baby's belly and lower back. Wirg adjustable snaps, some covers can be used for extended times.
OS: One Size: One Size fits all diapers that typically have adjustable waist and rise.
Hybrid Fitted: fitted diaper that has a hidden layer of material, sandwiched between the outer print and the inner velour. This layer of poly fleece helps the diaper to be more effective. Most hybrids also have snap-in soakers - countoured, petal, prefold/trifold, snake, etc... These diapers can be made waterproof by adding a cover made of PUL
Wool Covers/Woolies: Diaper covers made of wool that are helpful in wicking away moisture from baby's skin and can be used as a cover for any style of diaper that is not waterproof.
Diaper Stripping
Stripping diapers of waxy buildup, residue and chemicals, set in stains and other elements and toxins helps keep your baby's skin safe and healthy and your diapers in good, useable condition.

Cloth Diaper Bucket
Cloth Diapering is not a new trend, however, there are some very cool and easy to use styles and variations that have surfaced in recent years - one of the biggest and most surprising is the WAH diaper creations!
Many of these diapers are like artwork, themselves. Some are handpainted, one of a kind, vintage upcycled, limited/hard to find prints and other variations of artistry that truly give these artisans the unique flare and desirability that families have come to seek out and stash!!

 "Cloth Eez" Prefolds $15 and up/dozGreen Mountain Diapers Prefolds are awesome and absorbent and can be used as a regular diaper or a tri-fold insert for lining or in pocket diapers. They are 4-8-4 ply and 100% Indian cotton, available in White, Unbleached and Organic. Sizes range from preemie to XL. We have used these with a couple of my kids and am a huge fan after using some other brands that didn't last as long or weren't as absorbent. |  Bumkins Pre-Folds (avg) $14These refolds run a bit smaller than expected - even for a newborn - and were very thin. Great for use as a doubler or if you have light days. |  Workhorse Fitted Diapers $5 + eachThese are a MUST for anyone with a newborn!! They are made from the same amazing materials as the prefolds, only designed to fit the contours of your baby with elastic gussets and the choice of snaps or no closure to allow for pins, snappies or your choice of closure. Newborn and small have 6 layers in the flap and medium and up have 8 layer flaps sewn in for maximum absorbency. They are not waterproof alone, however, add a nice cover or pocket and you're all set!! |

 Pocket OS diaper - Baby Kawaii $3-5These are nice, easy to use PUL and flannel cotton pocket diapers that can be used with pre fold or inserts, stuffed or laid inside. The PUL makes these waterproof, the snaps help adjust the rise for growing babies and cleanup is simple! There are several styles, prints and fabrics used for this brand, they cost anywhere f |  Woolies $20 - 30 eachThese are very nice wool covers - wool helps wick moisture away from baby's skin - and can be worn as a cover over a prefold or fitted diaper. The blue one is a WAHM made wool diaper and the Cream one is a Disana. |  Thirsties - Hook & Loop $14 + eachThis Diaper cover is made of PUL material with a hook and loop closure. It has double gussets in the leg - which I love b/c they help prevent leaks!!! These work great over most any diaper that is not already waterproof and come in different sizes and patterns. I like these covers, they are very efficient, however, with specific sizes, they don't stay in stash long. |
 Thirsties Snaps - $14 + eachPUL material with snap closure and double gussets make this an awesome cover. The sizing limits the longevity, however, they are great covers and easy to use. |  Rumparooz diaper cover $14 + eachThis diaper cover is PUL with double gusset in the legs and adjustable snaps for a growing baby. They even have a top and bottom flap to hold your pre fold or liner in place and keep wetness off baby's skin!! Made of PUL, cotton flannel and adjustable snaps, this is a great OS (One Size) pocket diaper that can grow with your little "spider-baby".  Alva Diaper Cover $4Made from PUL with adjustable snaps ADN double gussets, these are some of my favorite covers! They also have the top and bottom flap inside to help keep the refolds or liners in and wetness of baby's skin. I also love the snaps coordinating with the diaper - it's just sleek and cute! For the price and how easy and efficient these are, they should be a part of any and every diaper stash. We use them for overnights, especially!! |  Little Boppers Rasta $29 (w/ S&H)Absolutely amazing hybrid fitted diaper with a three petal soaker snap in (6 layers goal) and amazing absorbency! The outer is jersey knit so it pills a little at first - careful if shaving jersey knit, I just pull them or wait it out a couple washes. Inners are made of wind pro fleece and another fleece lining. Not only is this a cute diaper, it fits well and can last for up to 3 hours. The outer layer is a mix of PUL with a jersey knit overlay and a fleece inner layer with a snap in snake style soaker. The diaper itself can be re-used if no mess on the shell, by snapping in a clean liner. Snap rise allows for longer use and the double snap rows on the tabs help to ensure a good fit at the waist. The outer layer of sweet PacManiais made of a durable jersey knit with an inner layer of PUL and a fleece liner against baby's skin with a snap in fold over bamboo fleece and cotton velour soaker that is very absorbent and helps keep the slim line and fit in this diaper. Outer layer is a jersey and waffle mix with an middle wind pro fleece and velour liner.  Jessamess Hybrid FittedAwesome "Never Grow Up" pattern outer layer of jersey knit custom fabric with a wind pro fleece middle and velour inner layer make this incredibly soft, squishy diaper simply amazing and one of the first to get picked (by my 3 year old) the day after diaper laundry day!! (She loves Tinkerbell!!) The snap in fold over soaker is super absorbent and soft, easy to use and doesn't cause too much bulk under clothes.  Tiny Hiny Covers Ai2 custom $24This diaper has a nice outer layer of TMNT PUL with a fleece inner and snap in single fleece soaker. It's not quite as absorbent or well fitting as others, although it advertised up to 35 lbs., I have a hard time snapping it comfortably around my 20 lb. baby, even when he was 15 lbs. it was a tight fit. I ordered this custom diaper in May 2014 and received it the last week of July 2014. It looks like a NB diaper and is very lightweight. Thirsties Newborn Diaper Cover $12Standard PUL diaper cover with double gussets.
